DEAR CLIENTS AND FRIENDS,

I AM EXCITED AND HONORED TO ANNOUNCE OUR FIRST PESACH AT THE LUXURIOUS SETTING OF:

THE MARCO POLO BEACH RESORT***SUNNY ISLES BEACH-

{a Magnificent, newly renovated ocean front Resort}.

YOU WILL BE PART OF THIS GREAT ADVENTURE AND I HOPE IT WILL BE GREAT TIMES AND MEMORIES FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY TO ENJOY IN THE TRADITION OF:

I AM AT THE MARCO POLO FOR PESSACH

WE WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME YOU AND TELL YOU A LITTLE BIT OF OUR EXCITING NEW LITTLE PROGRAM.

I MUST REMIND YOU THAT IN LIGHT OF THE COVID SITUATION, WE WILL HAVE SOME RESTRICTIONS AND REGULATIONS THAT WE MUST FOLLOW STRICTLY AND ABIDE PLEASE.

YOU WILL GET A SEPARATE PAMPHLET STIPULATING WHAT CAN BE DONE AND WHAT IS NOT OKAY ACCORDING TO FLORIDA CODES AND ORDINANCES.

BUT LET’S GET STARTED ON A POSITIVE NOTE!

First of all, we want you to understand that this is our main goal…

“To feel at home away from home”

In other words, we hope to give that Heimishe atmosphere and have a fantastic time.

However, that being said, there are some rules (yes, always those coming around…) that we must abide as we are going to be part of a big family for a little while being together and we need to respect each other’s time and space to avoid chaos, uncomfortable situations and misunderstandings.

We, as Claudine Uzan Caterer, are proposing what we did best for 12 years at the Mimosa Condominium that is to say: a meal plan with the difference that we will be adding a very nice Continental Breakfast as this year we are in the hotel and the need is there.

Amazing menus with a flair of Jewish Heimishe cooking as well as International flair, each year reinvented and enhanced that we have implemented and given with tremendous success will be available upon request.

We are sorry but we will not be having any children’s programs, entertaining or Tea room due to the current situation when big gatherings are not yet permissible and/or recommended according to the CDC guidelines.

In the restaurant dining room, we will have dividers between families, we will serve everything family style on your table in general. If we decided to have some buffets set up, people will have to wear mask going into the buffet and will be served. This will be mandatory. We will provide you with mask.

It will be a little bit of an inconvenient, but it will work out with some good will and a little bit of patience. One thing I will guarantee though, is that it will be worthwhile BHM.

Rest assured, we will have enough staff to serve you accordingly, pleasantly and efficiently iyh.

We are happy to provide any food you want during the meals, but no food will be allowed to be brought or taken outside the dining room.

No exceptions, please.

For kashrus reasons obvious to us all, no plates, glasses or silverware are to be brought outside the dining room.

If for whatsoever reasons you cannot attend a meal, we cannot refund you.

If given enough time, we will be happy to provide the meal to be brought in TO GO containers.

Our program is a NON GEBROCHTS Glatt Kosher Program and we are under the Kosher Miami supervision: KM.

Please make a note of this.

You will get the timing of the dining room soon, but you should know that even though we are pleased to accommodate within reason your own timing,

you must understand that the staff is hired for a certain time and beyond  these times, there will be a surcharge of overtime, keep that in mind, please.

So, it is very important to respect the schedule of the dining room as we cannot keep the dining room open at all time.

✅We will serve the latest 30 minutes after service time without any guarantee being served a hot meal on shabbos.

For shabbos: once the ovens are open or soup or cholent are off the “Blech” we cannot put back.‼️

✅We Will NOT serve anyone after 45 minutes into service!

Once the Staff leaves 👋or is almost finished their shift, we will not be serving at all.👎😪

✅We are not obligated to serve nor responsible for late people! 😞

⭕️NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED⭕️

Reminder:

Cleaning and sweeping dining room- Setting up for next service – refreshing and extra mandatory ordinances due to the situation needs a required time.

Thank you for your understanding

  1. No friends are allowed or acquaintances or neighbors, SORRY.

We cannot feed everyone that you know.

If you want to invite someone for coffee/tea and deserts, there will be a charge of $20.00 per person and we need an advance notice to know about. Thank you.

  1. Food allergy:

Please beware that all our food is cooked in a facility that use:

Eggs 🥚 – almond milk- tree nuts 🌰 🥜 – fish 🐟 – no kitnyot.

This program is considered Gluten free except for last day Pessach.

You can bring your own wine 🍷 as long as it is MEVUSHAL (this will be checked before opening the bottle).

  1. Candles 🕯🕯are provided to be lit for your convenience before Shabbos and Yomim Tovim.

We will have different Shuls with different nussach on our premises and have minyanim iyh. Call us for more information.

The organization of a commercial kitchen is a lot different than from our house.

For the good and smooth running of the meals one must understand that he is part of a big group that is being served with a certain sequence and the service of the most cannot be interrupted for the service of the few.

So, please understand that our goal is to serve you the best possible way as soon as we possibly can.

We want to thank you very much to give us the opportunity to bring together this Pessach Meals arrangement 2021 especially for you.

Should you have any questions, we are at your service and we are looking forwards to working for you towards a most successful Program.

Sincerely,

Rina Kramer (305) 542-1656 Daniel Kramer (305) 527 2841

This is in a nutshell the prices for Pessach
Easier to understand that I sent to people because they asked how much it comes out per person.
This is what I answered to different questions asked by people I sent the program to.
There were a couple older people that I think I am going to help book the rooms…
Somehow they are flustered by the fact of having to deal with two different transactions!

1- We can accommodate people from the outside to sign in and participate in our meal plan program.

2- Reason, we list each meal with a price on the package price sheet is: families that are on the program sometimes, here and there for some meals invite a friend or a family member that will join them for lunch or dinner.
This way if they have a guest they know how much it cost them per meal to pay.

3- We also have a couple People from the Shule members downstairs that eat with us on Shabbos as regular clients and may want to join us for sedorim.
As a courtesy, if we have the space they can join the program on an individual price list meal.
We do not, besides these clients from the neighborhood or that own a unit at the Marco Polo accept people not on the entire program.
It is not a restaurant, it would be too complicated to change every meal the set up and floor plan.

4- Sedorim price are highest as it helps to off set start up expenses as kashering kitchen and supervision etc …otherwise all meals are equally priced.

5- Regarding deposits and refund:

Let me if I may, give you my perspective.
As a caterer we have to invest a lot of time( a few month prior of preparation, money, energy and effort to make Pesach happen.
If the program is canceled due to Covid, I assure you that it would not be a decision made by myself.
Therefore, it is out of my control. As long as I am legally allowed to, I will be running the program.
I am creating a program based on many clients desire to come.
I cannot financially afford to front all of this money and potentially lose it all, as I did last year. Therefore, like every other program, we are clearly stating our policy so there is no ambiguity.
We are both taking risks in this new covid era.
I will never recoup the lost time or lost income should G-d forbid the program be canceled.
One thing, I can tell you is that the State of Florida has been open fully basically since June, and our Governor does not want to close down at any cost, so in all likelihood, our program will be running.
However, after last year, it was important to me personally, to factor in this Risk and to ensure I could afford to even run a program without losing everything, as last year without this clause.
I understand if you have any concern, however this is the only business model in which I could see myself attempting to run a Pesach program this year.
If it makes you uncomfortable, I understand, and we hope to see you next year Iyh.
